Works Manager (I&M)

This challenging and exciting opportunity requires an individual with experience in a similar role from within the instrumentation and monitoring (I&M) sector. The successful individual will have experience relating to ground, foundations and structures monitoring during construction works. The position is based in Central London.

Due to continued growth and a strategy to grow significantly over the next three to five years, our client wishes to appoint a Works Manager. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the main purpose of this role is to take responsibility for teams delivering a variety of monitoring activities pertaining mostly to ground movement and/or foundations and underground structures, with a large part of these works being in the rail sector. The position will suit an individual with demonstrable experience in a similar role living in or close to Central London, where most sites will be based.

The Role

* Lead and manage teams on multiple instrumentation and monitoring (I&M) projects

* Plan, program and oversee the delivery of projects covering various monitoring services

* Plan, coordinate, and oversee installation and maintenance works

* Promote and maintain safety standards, project progress and accurate record keeping

* Manage equipment, resources, stock and logistics

* Collaborate with internal teams and clients across other group business units

* Support the development of strategic plans and business reporting

* Assist in marketing efforts to generate new business opportunities

The Person

* The ideal candidate will be delivery-focused with a hands-on attitude, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in both fast-paced site and office environments

* You will also possess proven expertise in the instrumentation and monitoring (I&M) field

* Good written and verbal communication skills

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

* Proven experience in the instrumentation and monitoring industry

* Full UK Driving Licence and the right to work in the UK unassisted (no sponsorship available)

* Good organisational and planning skills

* A strong analytical mindset and numeracy skills

* Ability to work independently and lead teams
