JOB DETAILS:

We are looking for a full time Stock Condition Surveyor on behalf of New Forest District Council, office based in Lyndhurst. Full time, 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Salary is £40,058 per annum. 26 – 27 days annual leave plus bank holidays.

Main purpose:

* To undertake Stock Condition Surveys (SCS) on NFDCs housing and garage stock to accurately determine the current condition and remaining life expectancy of key components, taking into account the component life cycle to inform future investment needs in relation to the 1, 5 10 and 30 year planned programme and NFDCs Financial Business Plan.

* To assist in the production of a programme of works to the Councils Housing assets based on detailed stock condition information (including gathering this information), to allow the implementation and evaluation of strategic asset management decisions.

* To assist in the development of a long term Asset Management plan to ensure we make best use of our Housing assets including identification of properties to sell and Land for future development

Skills & Experience

* A recognised degree in a construction related subject and substantial proven experience or an HNC/HND in Building Construction with substantial post qualification experience at an appropriate level managing construction projects in residential properties.

* Good working knowledge of building construction, including knowledge of building pathology and defects diagnosis.

* To be qualified as a Domestic Energy Assessor.

* To be qualified P402 Asbestos surveying and sampling.
