Project Manager – Civils
About the Opportunity:
NRL is proud to be recruiting on behalf of our client for a Project Manager – Civil to support the delivery of high-profile nuclear infrastructure projects across the UK and. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the advancement of engineering design and supply chain readiness for the a Final Investment Decision on a complex project, with a strong emphasis on replicating the previous design.
You'll play a key role in delivering complex civil works, overseeing multidisciplinary teams, and driving alignment across project interfaces. Working with a leading organisation at the forefront of Net Zero and energy security, this role offers outstanding career progression and long-term project involvement.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Manage the delivery of Systems, Structures, and Components (SSCs), ensuring alignment with design principles for seamless application.
Drive the execution of engineering studies to meet project time lines and technical requirements.
Contribute to the development of post-FID contracts by providing both technical and commercial insight.
Oversee the incorporation of specific modifications into final designs, documentation, and contractual outputs.
Act as a central coordination point across teams and stakeholders to maintain a unified approach to design and project execution.
What You’ll Need:
A relevant degree in Civil Engineering, Construction, Project Management, or a closely related discipline.
Chartered Engineer status is beneficial but not essential.
A solid track record in managing complex, large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.
Demonstrated experience delivering engineering solutions across the full project life cycle, with a strong focus on compliance and safety.
Skilled in coordinating cross-functional engineering teams and maintaining delivery against tight schedules.
Experience within major infrastructure or industrial settings, ideally involving civil, mechanical, electrical, or process engineering.
Proficiency in English at CEFR B2 level or above, with the ability to communicate complex technical details clearly.
