We are always on the look-out for talented individuals to join Churchill Integrated Services and, in particular at the moment, are looking for an experienced Mechanical Manager to join the team in Bridgnorth to design, quote and manage mechanical (gas and plumbing) construction project works.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the management and service delivery of gas/mechanical works and ensuring compliance in accordance with current regulations.

* Overseeing and managing M&E project works, liaising with the Site Manager (if available) to ensure works are carried out in accordance with client expectations and relevant regulations

* Provide detailed quotes and designs for Mechanical installations in both commercial and domestic projects

* To supervise the use of operatives and sub-contractors, ensuring that they comply with Company standards of work performance and industry regulations

* Quality audits on site whilst work is being carried out, minimising the need for snagging

* H&S responsibility, ensuring staff adhere to site rules, company guidelines and method statements

* Take ownership of the company Gas safe registration, ensuring compliance with testing and reporting.

* Ordering materials through the Company procurement process, ensuring materials are available as and when required and within the estimation budgets

* Provide technical support to engineers, site managers and staff as and when required

* Provide progress reports to management on regular intervals on the status of works, financial performance

* Attend site meetings with clients, discussing future requirements, current work progress and answering queries

* Building work relationships with existing clients

* Identify and pursue any potential works with new clients

* Performance Management responsibilities for all staff, setting KPI’s, measuring performance and managing poor performance issues for all reporting staff, using various Company procedures and support i.e Appraisals, disciplinary proceedings etc

* Provide support to team members for all technical, H&S and account-based queries

* Ensure staff are adequately trained and able to perform their duties competently

* Monitor attendance and departure times of engineers to ensure works are carried out within the parameters

* Monitor accident reporting, First Aid provision, Induction Training, Toolbox Talks, Method Statement & Risk Assessments, Workplace Inspections and Sub-Contractor management.

* Absence management for allocated staff using HR support where required i.e holiday approvals, back to work interviews etc

About you;

You will need the following qualifications and experience.

Essential

* Level 2 & 3 Plumbing

* ACS Domestic Gas Safe

* SMSTS

* Driving Licence

* I.T Literate (MS Office) – Excel

* Good understanding of building regulations

* On site and engineer management experience

* Minimum of 3 years’ experience contracts/project management within the building sector.

* Flexible working hours as the needs of the business require

* Able to travel to various locations throughout the UK to attend site visits and client meetings
