Location: South Midlands (various sites across the region)
Projects: £1m–£8m | Sectors: Commercial, Retail, Leisure, Care, Hotels, Industrial

We are partnering with a growing, South Midlands-based contractor to recruit a proactive Quantity Surveyor who thrives in a hands-on, varied role. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to make a real impact within a smaller contractor environment and be an integral part of the team.

About the Company:

Small, regional contractor delivering 4–5 projects per year across the Greater Midlands

*

Projects include new builds, conversions, industrial units, care homes, hotels, roadside leisure

*

Emphasis on quality, teamwork, and hands-on involvement

The Role:

*

Manage subcontractors and lead cost control on multiple projects

*

Prepare monthly valuations, interim payments, and internal reporting

*

Oversee projects from tender through to completion, including JCT contract administration, take-offs, and submissions

*

Flexibility to roll up your sleeves and assist across the business as needed – no two days are the same

The Ideal Candidate:

Experienced Quantity Surveyor confident with JCT contracts, valuations, and project cost management

*

Comfortable working on multiple projects simultaneously

*

Enjoys variety and responsibility, keen to contribute to the growth of a smaller contractor

*

Team player willing to “wear different hats” and make a real difference
