The Role

Our client is currently seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team and work across a mixture of commercial and residential projects throughout London and the Southeast.

The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for the financial management and commercial success of projects, ensuring accurate cost control, contract administration, and delivery of maximum value.

This role requires a strong background in quantity surveying, an excellent understanding of construction processes, and proven experience of managing multiple projects simultaneously. You will work closely with project managers, site teams, and clients to achieve best-in-class results.

Roles & responsibilities (include but not limited to):

* Prepare, manage, and report project budgets, valuations, and forecasts.

* Monitor costs against budgets and ensure accurate financial reporting.

* Identify and implement opportunities for cost savings and value improvements.

* Carry out cost analysis for project work.

* Manage subcontractor procurement, tendering, and contract administration.

* Prepare and negotiate subcontract orders and manage payments.

* Ensure compliance with main contract conditions and company procedures.

* Produce monthly CVRs (Cost Value Reconciliations).

* Advise on cash flow forecasts and project profitability.

* Provide timely and accurate commercial reporting to senior management.

* Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.

* Attend project progress meetings and provide commercial input.

* Resolve commercial and contractual issues promptly.

* Identify potential risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.

* Ensure compliance with legal, contractual, and health & safety obligations.
