Building Control Surveyor
A client within the Public Sector based in Leicestershire is currently recruiting for 2 x Class 2 Building Inspectors and 1 x Class 3 Building Inspector to join their Building Control team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a Building Control environment.
The Role
Key purpose of the role is to provide professional building control services, ensuring compliance with building regulations, fire safety legislation and wider statutory requirements.
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Assessing building regulation applications, site inspections and enforcement.
Providing specialist advice on building construction and fire safety compliance.
Responding to emergency reports about dangerous structures on a rota basis.
Ensuring projects comply with statutory legislation and local service plans.
Working collaboratively within the team to meet deadlines and service objectives.
The Candidate
To be considered for this role you will require:
Registration with the Building Safety Regulator (Class 2 or Class 3).
Post qualification experience (between 2 and 6 years depending on qualification).
Comprehensive knowledge of building construction and Building Regulations.The below skills would be beneficial for the role:
Strong knowledge of fire safety legislation.
Ability to work under pressure and manage priorities effectively.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £100 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35 (approx. £80 per hour PAYE)
