MEP Lead – Oxford / South UK

Package: £100K + £7–8K car/allowance (Permanent)
Location: Initial focus in Oxford; flexibility to work across the South UK (future projects may include Oxford, Kent, and beyond).

The Opportunity

This is a senior opportunity for an experienced MEP professional to join a Tier 1 main contractor on a long-term pipeline of major Life Sciences and Advanced Manufacturing projects. The first assignment will be leading the delivery of a flagship £125M Siemens battery manufacturing facility for MRI in Bicester, with an MEP package valued at £70–80M.

You will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering technically complex MEP works while strengthening the contractor’s reputation in the sector.

Role Purpose

Act as the senior mechanical-biased MEP lead on large-scale pharma and advanced manufacturing schemes.

*

Oversee project delivery in Oxford, while contributing to wider MEP leadership across multiple projects in the South UK.

*

Lead and manage a dedicated MEP site team of 6–8 (Mechanical Lead, Electrical Lead, Supervisors).

*

Drive system construction, commissioning, and turnover in line with programme, quality, and client expectations.

Key Requirements

*

Circa 15 years’ experience delivering MEP works within pharma or advanced manufacturing environments.

*

Strong mechanical bias with in-depth knowledge of system construction, commissioning, and turnover.

*

Broad technical understanding across HVAC, utilities piping, electrical, E&I, I&C systems, and associated commissioning.

*

Proven track record of successful delivery with Tier 1 main contractors on complex projects.

*

Experience working on major schemes such as Modena, Ely Lilly, AstraZeneca, or MSD is highly desirable.

*

Willingness to be flexible with travel and lodging away, depending on future project locations.
