You will drive programmes from order to final account, steer safety and compliance, manage suppliers and subcontractors, and protect margin through tight cost control and robust reporting. Your influence will be felt in every handover.
Contracts Manager Salary & Benefits
Salary: £50,000 to £55,000 plus car allowance

Contracts Manager Job Overview
Manage multiple contracts from order receipt to completion and final account
Lead planning, programming, logistics, and resourcing to meet time, cost, and quality targets
Agree methods of construction and produce RAMS with a strong focus on H&S and CDM
Recruit, brief, and manage supervisors, site teams, and subcontractors
Arrange and control scaffolds, skips, deliveries, and site setup, including signage and branding
Maintain impeccable records: site instructions, delays, dayworks, variations, inspections, and photos at every stage
Negotiate rates with subcontractors and suppliers and ensure costs remain within budget
Monitor progress, quality, and commercial performance; forecast margin and cash flow; report monthly
Build strong client relationships through clear, regular communication and proactive problem solving
Drive zero defects and zero call-backs through consistent quality control and final inspections
Contracts Manager Job Requirements
Proven experience managing roofing or building envelope contracts on commercial projects
Excellent knowledge of H&S legislation, RAMS, scaffold inspections, and site compliance
Strong commercial acumen across budgets, variations, and subcontract accounts
Confident people leader with the ability to motivate teams and hold standards
Highly organised with strong record-keeping and attention to detail
Effective communicator who builds professional client relationships
IT proficient across MS Office and standard project tools
Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK
