Senior Quantity Surveyor

Location: Colchester (CO1) or Luton (LU1), with flexibility across projects
Salary: £70,000 – £85,000 + package

We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading construction contractor. This role offers the chance to manage projects typically valued between £2m – £10m, working under both JCT and NEC contracts (with a strong preference for NEC experience).

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take ownership of commercial management from procurement through to final account, ensuring accurate cost control and supporting the Commercial Director across multiple schemes.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Manage the full commercial lifecycle of projects.

Oversee subcontract procurement, valuations, and payment applications.

Prepare forecasts, cashflow management, and detailed cost reporting.

*

Provide accurate financial control across multiple schemes.

*

Ensure compliance with JCT and NEC contract requirements.

*

Collaborate with project and site teams to achieve successful outcomes.

Skills & Experience Required

*

Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor on projects of £2m – £10m.

*

Strong knowledge of NEC contracts (JCT experience also valuable).

*

Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.

*

Chartered (MRICS) or working towards accreditation preferred.

*

Proactive, motivated, and commercially astute.

*

Strong communication and collaboration skills.
