Salary: £65,000 – £75,000 per annum (or competitive day rate, if preferred)

About Our Client
Our client is a specialist in façade refurbishment, regeneration, and recladding, delivering safe, sustainable, and innovative solutions across high-rise and complex projects. With a strong track record in the London market, they are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team.

The Role
You will take commercial responsibility for two major façade projects in London, valued at £3m and £8m respectively. Both schemes are set to run for approximately two years, with further projects lined up thereafter, offering excellent long-term prospects.

Key Responsibilities

Full commercial management of assigned projects, from contract award to final account.

Preparing, negotiating, and analysing costs for tenders, subcontracts, and variations.

*

Managing and forecasting project cashflow and budgets.

*

Preparing interim applications for payment and final accounts.

*

Ensuring contractual compliance across NEC/JCT contracts.

*

Managing risk and value management, cost control, and reporting.

*

Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders.

*

Supporting project teams to ensure projects are delivered within budget and to programme.

Requirements

*

Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or related field.

*

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.

*

Background in façades, cladding, or external envelope projects highly desirable.

*

Strong knowledge of construction contracts (NEC and JCT).

*

Excellent negotiation, communication, and reporting skills.

*

Proactive, commercially astute, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
