Salary: £65,000 – £75,000 per annum (or competitive day rate, if preferred)
About Our Client
Our client is a specialist in façade refurbishment, regeneration, and recladding, delivering safe, sustainable, and innovative solutions on complex projects across the UK. With an expanding pipeline of high-value projects, they are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.
The Role
You will take commercial responsibility for a £24m façade recladding project in Cardiff. The scheme is expected to run for approximately two years, with opportunities to move onto further high-value projects after completion.
Key Responsibilities

Full commercial management of the Cardiff recladding project, from contract award to final account.

Preparing, negotiating, and analysing costs for tenders, subcontracts, and variations.
*
Managing and forecasting project cashflow and budgets.
*
Preparing interim applications for payment and final accounts.
*
Ensuring contractual compliance across NEC/JCT contracts.
*
Managing risk and value management, cost control, and reporting.
*
Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
*
Supporting project teams to ensure the project is delivered within budget and to programme.
Requirements
*
Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or related field.
*
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.
*
Background in façades, cladding, or external envelope projects highly desirable.
*
Strong knowledge of construction contracts (NEC and JCT).
*
Excellent negotiation, communication, and reporting skills.
*
Proactive, commercially astute, and able to manage high-value projects.
