The Role
The Temporary Works Co-ordinator (TWC) will be responsible for delivering safe, compliant, and cost-effective temporary works solutions. You will support project delivery teams by ensuring all designs are properly prepared, checked, and implemented to meet client and site-specific requirements.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare and manage design briefs, specifications, and technical queries.
*
Co-ordinate, review, and check designs, ensuring compliance with CDM, H&S, and environmental standards.
*
Lead consultants and internal teams to deliver solutions on schedule and within budget.
*
Provide technical advice, value-engineered alternatives, and support for method statements.
*
Manage approvals, supplier coordination, and pricing for estimating.
*
Support applications for movement orders and traffic management schemes.
*
Undertake temporary works co-ordination during design and handover phases.
*
Liaise with clients, suppliers, and third parties to ensure smooth delivery.
*
Promote best practice and represent the company positively.

Delivery of services on time, within budget, and to required quality.

Contribution to CDM, health & safety, and environmental targets.
About You
Essential
*
Degree/HNC in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
*
Strong knowledge of temporary works, engineering management, and construction processes.
*
Experience in deep drainage, lifting operations, structural works, and logistics planning.
*
Background in the water and rail sectors.
*
Skilled in design (permanent/temporary) with AutoCAD proficiency.
*
Familiar with CESWI, Network Rail, and Highways specifications.
*
Experience obtaining third-party technical approvals.
*
CITB Temporary Works Co-ordinator certification and valid CSCS card.
*
Strong risk identification, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Desirable
*
Appointed Person for Lifting / NRSWA Supervisor certification.
*
Experience across both site and design office environments.
*
Incorporated/Chartered membership (or working towards).
*
Knowledge of TFL, DLR, and Network Rail approval processes.
*
Familiarity with Autodesk, Bluebeam, or Bentley 3D software
