About the Role

As an Assistant Construction Manager, you will have a key role in supporting site leadership and ensuring the successful delivery of fit out & refurbishment projects. Working alongside senior managers, you will have to help maintain high standards of quality, safety, and programme delivery.

Key Responsibilities

* Support day-to-day site operations, coordinating with subcontractors and ensuring health & safety compliance.

* Assist with quality assurance, programme management, and logistical planning.

* Contribute to the review of design documentation and help resolve technical queries.

* Maintain clear communication with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients.

* Participate in meetings, contribute to project reporting, and support snagging and handover processes.

Candidate Requirements

* Previous experience in construction management or as an assistant construction manager, within commercial fit-out & refurbishment projects.

* A solid understanding of construction processes, safety regulations, and quality standards.

* Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.

* A proactive and collaborative approach with attention to detail.

* Site safety certifications (e.g. SMSTS/SSSTS, CSCS card)
