Response Surveyor
A client within the Public Sector based in the Southwest is currently recruiting for a Response Surveyor to join their Maintenance Operations team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a housing maintenance environment.
The Role
Key purpose of the role is to ensure a “safety first” culture and deliver a customer-orientated property management service across responsive repairs and minor works within the region.
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
• Undertaking building surveys to identify defects, disrepair and required remedial solutions.
• Managing responsive repairs, post inspections and communal repair requirements.
• Ensuring works comply with relevant legislation including CDM, Building Regulations and health & safety.
• Preparing detailed reports, specifications and cost estimates for remedial works.
• Monitoring contractor performance to ensure quality, cost and time targets are achieved.
The Candidate
To be considered for this role you will require a relevant technical qualification (HNC or higher) in Building, Surveying, Planning or a similar field, or significant experience within the construction industry. Ideally you will also have previous experience working in social housing.
The below skills would be beneficial for the role:
• RICS or CIOB membership.
• Knowledge of repair and refurbishment standards in residential dwellings.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to manage workload independently.
The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £26 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35 (approx. £21 per hour PAYE).
