Project Quantity Surveyor – Thurrock / Grays | New-Build Process Plant
Project: New-Build Process Plant
We’re seeking an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor to join a leading main contractor delivering a major new-build process plant in Thurrock. The project involves extensive civils and reinforced concrete (RC) works, offering a fantastic opportunity to play a key role on a high-value, complex build.
This is an urgent requirement, and interviews will be arranged immediately for suitable candidates.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage cost control, forecasting, and budgeting across the project lifecycle.
• Prepare, negotiate, and agree sub-contract orders and variations.
• Oversee valuations, payments, and final accounts.
• Liaise with project teams to ensure financial performance and project delivery targets are met.
• Ensure compliance with contractual and commercial requirements.
• Support senior management in reporting project costs and risks.

Requirements
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 3+ years’ experience working on civils / RC frame packages.
• Proven track record managing project-level commercial responsibilities.
• Excellent knowledge of NEC or JCT forms of contract.
• Strong negotiation, reporting, and communication skills.
