MEP Lead

Experienced MEPH Lead to join the fit-out division of a leading Main Contractor. This is a key role overseeing 2–3 projects at any one time across a diverse portfolio, including commercial, healthcare, and retail schemes, typically valued at under £10M. A mechanical bias is preferred, but not essential.

This position offers the opportunity to take ownership of service installations across multiple projects, while also developing towards building and managing a team, with the long-term vision of bringing an assistant on board.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead and manage all Mechanical, Electrical, Public Health, and associated services installations across multiple live projects.

* Coordinate and manage Services Contractors and wider supply chain partners to deliver works in line with client requirements and programme.

* Review and interpret specifications and design drawings, providing input and ensuring compliance with project requirements.

* Analyse project data, identify critical sequences, and allocate resources effectively.

* Oversee design development at sketch, detailed, and production stages where required.

* Manage and facilitate the flow of information between the Design Team, Consultants, and Services Subcontractors.

* Chair services coordination meetings and attend client progress meetings, providing updates and technical input.

* Oversee subcontractor procurement routes, review technical submittals, and track progress.

* Inspect, assess, and oversee testing and commissioning of MEPH systems on site.

* Ensure all project documentation and Safety File data is submitted accurately and on time.

Qualifications & Experience:

* Degree, diploma, or trade qualification in Building Services / Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or related discipline).

* Minimum 5 years’ experience working with a Building Services Contractor or Main Contractor.

* Strong knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, Public Health, Sprinklers, and associated systems.

* Excellent technical understanding combined with strong communication and leadership skills.

* Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

* Professional, self-motivated, and able to take initiative.
