Quantity Surveyor

Position: Quantity Surveyor (M&E) – Brand New Division
Salary: upto £60k + car allowance, fuel card, generous bonus + exceptional staff benefits

Are you an ambitious, financially savvy Quantity Surveyor (M&E) looking for a new challenge? This is an exciting opportunity to join a brand new Mechanical & Electrical division within one of the UK’s fastest-growing property services contractors.

Our client has a turnover of nearly £250m and ambitious growth plans to double in size. They are now building a new M&E division to deliver projects including electrical upgrades, new boiler installations, solar PV installations, and air source heat pumps.

This role is perfect for a Quantity Surveyor with Mechanical & Electrical experience who wants to be part of a start-up division but with the stability and backing of a well-established national business.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage all commercial and financial aspects of M&E projects including electrical upgrades, boiler installations, solar PV and renewable energy systems.

*

Prepare, negotiate and analyse costs for tenders, contracts and variations.

*

Ensure projects are delivered on budget, identifying risks and opportunities to maximise profitability.

*

Produce accurate forecasting, valuations and financial reporting.

*

Work closely with project teams, subcontractors and clients to ensure successful delivery.

*

Contribute to the setup of systems, processes and commercial frameworks in this new Mechanical & Electrical division.

Knowledge & Experience:

*

Proven track record as a Quantity Surveyor (M&E) or Building Services Quantity Surveyor.

*

Strong financial and commercial awareness with excellent cost control skills.

*

Experience in projects such as electrical upgrades, new boiler installations, solar PV and air source heat pumps is highly desirable.

*

Excellent knowledge of contracts, procurement and tendering in M&E projects.

*

Ambitious, proactive, and motivated to progress with a new division.

*

Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline (desirable).
