About The Role

We are recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor at our Greatworth site in the Greatworth to Southam Area.

The Senior Quantity Surveyor will need to carry out tasks independently (and at times lead a small group of commercial staff). The role will involve both regular periodical duties and one-off tasks in line with deadlines set by the senior Commercial team.

Key responsibilities include:

Preparing and agreeing variation accounts – both main contract and sub-contracts

Monitoring cost against targets and contract progress against accepted programmes and work plans (in conjunction with other team disciplines)

Providing input into change control procedures for EOT, delays and performance adjustment

Preparing and agreeing interim valuations, final valuations, final accounts and sub-contract final accounts

Preparing and issuing certification and payment of sub-contractors

Providing contractual advice to management, ensuring compliance with contract and legal administration obligations (including timely issue of relevant notices)

Negotiating and progressing the resolution of any disputes

Identifying potential commercial risks and evaluating options for control and management

About The Candidate

Qualified with a Quantity Surveying degree or similar

Enrolled in, or seeking membership of, a relevant professional institution (CICES, RICS or similar)

Successful experience at Quantity Surveyor level, demonstrating skill in delivering strong commercial outcomes on past projects

Ability to listen, learn and take on board new concepts while mentoring junior team members

Full driving licence and access to a vehicle
