Electrical Construction Manager

Due to continued workload, we are currently looking for an Electrical Construction Manager to work within a hospital environment, managing multiple small – medium sized projects
Position Overview
The Electrical Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all electrical construction activities on assigned projects. This includes planning, execution, quality assurance, safety compliance, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to required standards. The role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage teams, subcontractors, and client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and supervise all electrical construction activities on site.
* Plan project timelines, schedules, and resources for electrical works.
* Review and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and contracts.
* Coordinate with project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders.
* Ensure compliance with local electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations.
* Monitor progress, quality, and cost control for electrical installations.
* Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to achieve milestones.
* Prepare reports, project documentation, and progress updates.
* Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on site.
* Promote and enforce health & safety best practices.
Essential Skills & Competencies
* Strong knowledge of electrical construction methods, codes, and regulations.
* Proven ability to manage multiple medium scale electrical projects from inception to completion.
* Leadership and team management skills.
* Excellent organizational and planning abilities.
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
* Effective communication and negotiation skills.
* Proficiency in project management software and MS Office.
Qualifications & Experience
* Formally qualified within electrical installations, must hold 18th edition, SSSTS or SMST
* Hands on experience ideal, not essential
* Minimum 5–10 years of experience in electrical construction, with at least 3 years in a management role.
* Experience with commercial or industrial projects.
* Strong knowledge of safety standards
