Facade Designer

Overview

A leading specialist subcontractor operating within the commercial and residential construction sector is seeking a talented Façade Designer to join their well-established technical team based in the Erith, Dartford area. This is an excellent opportunity to join a company with a strong pipeline of prestigious projects across London and the South East.

Working closely with internal teams, clients, and main contractors, you will help deliver high-quality, buildable design solutions for a range of complex façade packages.

Key Responsibilities:

* Produce detailed drawings, elevations, sections, and schedules.

* Develop system designs in line with project requirements, building regulations, and client specifications.

* Coordinate with architects, engineers, and site teams to ensure design intent and buildability.

* Attend design meetings and site visits as required.

* Provide technical support and input throughout the design, fabrication, and installation phases.

* Review supplier drawings and ensure integration with overall façade packages.

Requirements:

* Proven experience in façade design within a subcontracting or specialist contractor environment.

* Proficient in AutoCAD; experience with 3D modelling software (e.g., Revit or SolidWorks) is advantageous.

* Good understanding of UK Building Regulations and façade performance standards.

* Excellent attention to detail, communication, and coordination skills.

* Able to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
