A stone supplier is seeking a proactive and versatile Accounts & Operations Assistant to support the Finance Director and the wider senior management team. The role will primarily focus on the smooth running of the accounts function, but will also extend to supporting other areas of the business as needed, including Health & Safety, Commercial operations, HR, and IT.

The successful candidate will help the business recover and grow by enabling the senior team to focus on strategy and sales, ensuring that:

Credit accounts are managed and paid on time

Administrative processes are kept up to date and compliant

*

Monthly management information, reporting, VAT, and year-end accounts are efficiently supported

*

Ad hoc support is provided across the business as required

Key Responsibilities:

*

Assist the Finance Director with day-to-day finance operations, reporting, and management information

*

Support Finance and Office functions, including payroll, expenses, and reconciliations

*

Provide administrative support to the Health & Safety Officer, Commercial Director, HR, and other senior team members as needed

*

Assist with IT and software processes, particularly where they impact client-facing operations, such as working with Landscape Architects

*

Explore opportunities to leverage AI and other technology to improve efficiency

Person Specification:

A mid-level management accountant with strong finance and administrative skills

*

Comfortable taking ownership of processes and supporting a growing, multi-faceted business

*

Flexible and adaptable, willing to take on varied tasks as required

*

Interested in technology, IT systems, and process improvement

*

A team player with excellent organizational and communication skills
