We are recruiting on behalf of a family run multi-disciplined construction contractor, that's been operating for over 20 years and looking for a Trainee / Junior Project Manager to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a multi-skilled tradesperson ready to step off the tools and develop into a management role, with full training and mentorship provided.

The Role

You will work closely with the Projects Director to oversee a variety of projects, ranging from small-scale maintenance works to medium-sized construction projects (up to £300k+ in value). The role will remain hands-on at times, but the focus is on developing your skills to manage projects from start to finish.

Key responsibilities include:

Assisting with the management of projects from pre-start to handover.

*

Overseeing subcontractors, resources, and budgets to ensure projects are delivered on time and within cost.

*

Carrying out toolbox talks, maintaining site records, and ensuring H&S compliance.

*

Preparing progress reports, valuations, and client updates.

*

Reviewing drawings and specifications to ensure accurate delivery.

*

Travelling to sites across Essex and London.

About You

We’re looking for a candidate with a strong construction multi-trade background, that's eager to progress into project management.

Essential requirements:

*

Minimum 10 years’ experience on the tools with a broad building knowledge.

*

Level 3 trade qualification.

*

CSCS card.

*

Computer literacy (Excel, MS Office) and good written English.

*

Full UK driving licence.

*

Organised, reliable, and self-motivated.

*

Strong communication and leadership potential.

Desirable:

*

Previous site management experience.

*

Experience interpreting architectural and engineering drawings
