Salary: £35-45,000 DOE
An expanding environmental consultancy is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Environmental Consultant to join its dynamic team. The consultancy specialises in Sustainability Appraisal and Strategic Environmental Assessment, Habitats Regulations Assessment (including nutrient neutrality), and Environmental Impact Assessment. The role is ideally full-time, though part-time arrangements may be considered, with flexibility for partial remote working. Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK.

Undertaking site assessments and contributing to high-quality environmental assessment reports
Managing day-to-day client liaison and attending meetings with clients and stakeholders
Providing technical guidance and mentoring support to junior colleagues
Collaborating with project team members across a range of environmental disciplines
Supporting business development activities, including bid preparation and writingIdeal Candidate:
Degree (or equivalent) in environmental science or related discipline, ideally with a relevant MSc
Several years of professional experience in the private or public sector
In-depth knowledge of UK legislation and technical guidance relating to environmental assessment, planning, and nature conservation
Proven ability to produce clear, high-quality reports suitable for public consultation
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with excellent organisational abilities
Membership or chartership within IEMA or a similar professional body
Numerically literate with proficiency in common computer applications
Desirable skills include experience with GIS (particularly ArcGIS), cross-disciplinary environmental collaboration, and business development in the sector
