Fire Safety Surveyor – Central London (12-Month Fixed Term)

Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 (DOE) + Flexible Working ( daily rates are available for the right individual)

We're working with a large Housing provider to recruit an experienced Fire Safety Surveyor to join their London-based Fire Safety Team during a pivotal period of change and delivery.

Why This Role?

Critical Deadlines: Help deliver over 800 substantial risk actions by December 2023 and drive progress on Priority 0 & 1 actions in moderate/tolerable risk buildings through to March 2026.
Real Impact: You'll play a key role in protecting residents across 47 substantial risk buildings, including 10-12 high-rise blocks.
Strong Backing: A £2m budget has been allocated to support fire safety works, with established contractor relationships.

What You'll Do

Carry out surveys, inspections, and follow-ups on fire safety actions.
Work closely with contractors to prioritise and progress overdue actions.
Provide professional input to ensure compliance with statutory and organisational standards.
Support the Fire Delivery Manager and wider team in achieving regulatory milestones.

About You

Experienced in fire safety surveying with knowledge of current regulations and risk categories.
Proven track record of managing and delivering large volumes of remedial actions.
Strong communicator able to engage with contractors, stakeholders, and internal teams.
Comfortable working to tight deadlines in a dynamic housing environment.

The Package

Salary: £55,000 – £60,000 (depending on experience) (Day rate are available if needed)
Contract: 12-month fixed term, with potential extension
Location: Central London office with flexible work arrangements
Be part of a motivated team: 2 surveyors, 2 contract officers, 1 admin, led by Fire Delivery Manager
