You will be joining an established Civil Engineering and Utilities organisation based in the Preston area working on multi-utility schemes for high-profile clients such as main contractors, house builders, and developers. They are a key player within utilities management, serving blue-chip clients such as ENW.

Having secured more work on top of their already healthy order book, they are looking for a Civil Quantity Surveyor to join their Utilities team.
Your new role
As Quantity Surveyor/Estimator, you will be based in their office/local sites and be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Producing and providing accurate forecasts of project costs to completion/final value
- Managing subcontractor accounts
- Liaising with clients and other key project stakeholders
- Monitoring cash flow and valuation plans
- Managing subcontractor tender processes
- Providing accurate reports of costs and values of the projects on a weekly basis.
What you’ll need to succeed :
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor/Estimator in the utilities sector.
- Must have experience/in-depth knowledge of NEC 3 contracts.
- Proven track record of working on major utility projects.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Familiarity with industry software and tools.
- Previous experience with utilities companies is highly desirable.
- A doer attitude and be able to liaise with clients, site teams and subcontractors.
