About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Supply Chain Manager to join a progressive and ambitious business within the UK construction and infrastructure sector.
In this role, you will take responsibility for subcontract and materials procurement, as well as vendor performance and relationship management. Working closely with Commercial, Supply Chain and Project Management teams, you will ensure subcontracts and materials are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required specifications. You will also lead on identifying the most appropriate procurement strategies while managing risks related to supply chain activities.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end subcontract procurement process, including high-value and complex packages.
Manage and optimise procurement processes to achieve timely, cost-effective delivery of works, goods and services.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, vendors and suppliers to secure high-quality, competitively priced outcomes.
Identify and address performance issues within the supply chain.
Proactively mitigate risks such as supply chain disruptions and quality concerns.
Monitor and analyse KPIs to ensure supply chain objectives and targets are achieved.Requirements
Will need either SC (Security Clearance) or willing to undertake it.
Applicants must be UK nationals and eligible for 'UK Eyes Only' security clearance.Qualifications & Experience
Degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
CIPS Level 4 or working towards (advantageous).
Previous experience in supply chain management, ideally within the construction sector.
Strong knowledge of the construction supply chain across the Scottish Central Belt.
Has strong experience with NEC contracts (NEC3 essential).
Familiarity with NEC contracts (NEC4 advantageous).
Proven ability to design and implement supply chain strategies that align with business objectives.
Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to collaborate effectively across multi-disciplinary teams.What's on Offer
