Mechanical Site Supervisor

This is a high-profile healthcare project with a significant impact on the region, and we are seeking an experienced Site Mechanical Supervisor to join the team on site. The role offers the chance to be part of a major development, working with a respected contractor on one of Wales’ most important construction projects.

We’re looking for a driven and experienced Site Mechanical Supervisor to join our team and play a key role in delivering a high profile Project in Cardiff. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a leading multidisciplinary contractor, taking ownership of site operations and ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

What You’ll Be Doing

Leading and developing site teams to achieve project targets.
*
Supervising subcontractors and direct labour to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient delivery.
*
Driving daily and weekly productivity, identifying and escalating any delays or issues.
*
Upholding excellent health, safety, and quality standards across the site.
*
Managing site resources (budgets, equipment, contracts) to deliver value for money.
*
Acting as a role model for company values, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
*
Ensuring the site remains organised, safe, and client-ready at all times.
What We’re Looking For
*
Degree in Construction Engineering (or equivalent) with 3+ years’ experience in a similar role; OR
*
5+ years’ experience in a mechanical site supervisory position.
*
Confident in decision-making and leadership on site.
*
Excellent communication skills with a strong team ethos.
*
Knowledge of mechanical engineering statutory procedures and Health & Safety compliance.
*
Familiarity with ISO 9001 (Quality) and ISO 14001 (Environmental).
Desirable:
*
Experience within the UK healthcare construction sector.
*
Knowledge of specialist mechanical equipment and installation.
