The Role:
We are seeking an experienced SHEQ Advisor to support our ongoing commitment to Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality across our operations. This is primarily an office-based role, with occasional travel to construction sites across Yorkshire, Manchester, and the Midlands.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain SHEQ policies, procedures, and systems.
Conduct risk assessments, site audits, and inspections, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Investigate incidents, near-misses, and accidents, producing reports and recommendations.
Advise operational teams on safe working practices, environmental responsibilities, and quality standards.
Deliver training and guidance on SHEQ topics to employees and subcontractors.
Support ISO and regulatory compliance, maintaining documentation and records.
Promote a culture of safety and quality across the organisation.Requirements:
Proven experience as a SHEQ Advisor or in a similar construction-based role.
Strong knowledge of CDM regulations, health and safety legislation, environmental standards, and quality management systems.
Ability to interpret and apply ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards.
Excellent communication and advisory skills.
Willingness to travel to sites occasionally across Yorkshire, Manchester, and the Midlands.
Relevant qualifications in health and safety, environmental management, or quality management are desirable.Benefits:
