Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor – Cleanroom Projects – Netherlands
€100,000 – €110,000 + Accommodation + Rotation + Travel + Living allowance
We are seeking an experienced Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor to take the commercial lead on cleanroom projects across the pharmaceutical, biotech, and semiconductor sectors.
This role requires strong technical and commercial expertise in mechanical and electrical systems within highly specialized environments, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will also play a key role in mentoring junior team members and supporting senior commercial leadership.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and oversee budgets, forecasts, and cost plans, including interim valuations and final accounts for complex M&E packages.
* Manage construction contracts, particularly NEC and JCT, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation.
* Lead the procurement of subcontractors, suppliers, and specialist M&E service providers.
* Identify, assess, and manage project risks, variations, and claims.
* Work closely with clients, design teams, contractors, and internal teams to achieve successful outcomes.
* Produce accurate monthly cost reports, providing clear commercial insights to stakeholders.
* Support and develop junior quantity surveyors within the commercial team.
Requirements:
* In-depth knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems for highly complex cleanroom facilities.
* Proven experience in sectors such as pharmaceutical, biotech, or semiconductor industries.
* Strong working knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts.
* Proficiency in CostX, Excel, and MS Project or similar software.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* EU passport or valid work permit for the Netherlands.
