€85,000 – €100,000 annual salary
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Planner to join a leading Tier 1 main contractor, driving the planning management function on major data centre projects. This is a pivotal role, setting the standard for project planning and controls, while reporting progress and performance directly to the group board.
This position offers the chance to work on some of Europe’s most advanced and high-profile mission-critical projects, while shaping the approach to planning across pre-construction and construction phases.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the development of baseline contract programmes, covering design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover – fully logic-linked with a clear critical path.
* Create detailed construction (target) programmes, identifying opportunities for improvement over baseline schedules.
* Prepare tender event programmes to support the procurement of subcontractors, incorporating design release and lead-in activities.
* Develop 4D graphical models and 2D phasing plans to represent build sequences, logistics, and phasing.
* Collaborate with the supply chain to develop programmes for design, construction, plant, and labour.
* Conduct risk and opportunity reviews for each programme, incorporating mitigation strategies and time-risk allowances.
* Maintain all planning and programme documentation using a common data environment (CDE).
* Provide programme data to support management decision-making and project reporting.
* Use project schedules to assist with staff resourcing, logistics, and temporary works planning.
Requirements:
* Proven track record as a Planner on live data centre construction projects.
* Advanced knowledge of Primavera P6 and Asta Powerproject, including S-curve reporting and progress analysis.
* Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and resource loading throughout the project lifecycle.
* Strong understanding of JCT and NEC forms of contract.
* Experience in quantitative risk assessment (QRA) preferred.
* Basic BIM knowledge and experience working in a CDE environment.
* Relevant degree or diploma in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
* Membership of a relevant professional body desirable.
