Estimator – West Midlands

360 Recruitment are currently assisting a specialist contractor in their search for an Estimator based out of their West Midlands office.

This opportunity is working on demolition schemes up to £20million+ in value.

As a key part of the Estimating team, you will play a vital role in pricing projects, preparing bids, and ensuring commercial viability.

Job role: Estimator

Location: West Midlands

Salary: £50,000 – £65,000 (salary is dependent on your experience within the demolition sector or construction sector)

Estimator Responsibilities:

Review tender documentation and collaborate with the Bid Manager to define submission deliverables.
Conduct site visits to assess scope and gather information for accurate pricing.
Work with CAD technicians to develop method statements and outline programmes.
Identify and price specialist subcontract packages; obtain and analyse competitive quotes.
Measure works and produce basic Bills of Quantities as needed.
Price from first principles (labour, plant, materials) or using composite rates for tenders and budgets.
Participate in adjudication meetings and adjust bids based on feedback.
Respond to post-tender queries and manage client communications.
Record all tender data and ensure a smooth handover to the delivery team.
Key Skills:

Experience within the demolition or construction industry.
Proficient across MS Word, Excel & Outlook.
Excellent attention to detail.
Enthusiasm & determination.
Good problem solver.
