A client within the Public Sector based in Bristol is currently recruiting for a Disrepair Supervisor to join their Housing and Landlord Services team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a housing repairs environment.

The Role
Key purpose of the role is to manage the caseload for the disrepair surveying team responsible for responsive repairs to the council’s stock of dwellings, buildings and land managed by Landlord Services.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
• Supervising and coordinating Response Repairs Surveyors, providing technical leadership on disrepair and complex complaint cases.
• Reviewing and managing disrepair claims, including preparing documentation, monitoring case progress, and providing expert witness evidence in court when required.
• Monitoring the delivery and quality of repairs work carried out by trade teams and contractors, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and service improvements.
• Managing staff performance, identifying development opportunities, and resolving performance issues within appropriate timescales.
• Assisting the Responsive Repairs Manager in monitoring expenditure and reporting costs against budgets.

The Candidate
To be considered for this role you will require:
• A recognised technical qualification in construction, surveying, or housing repairs (HNC or equivalent).
• Proven experience supervising surveyors, trade teams, or contractors in a responsive repairs or disrepair environment.
• A full valid UK driving licence.
The below skills would be beneficial for the role:
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience of handling disrepair claims and complaints through to resolution, including court attendance.
• Knowledge of housing legislation, disrepair case law, and best practice in social housing repairs.

The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £325 per day Umbrella LTD Inside IR35 (approx. £260 per day PAYE).
