Overview

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in brickwork packages to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing costs, contracts, and commercial performance on brickwork and masonry projects across residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments in London.

Key Responsibilities

Preparing cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities (BoQs) for brickwork packages.

*

Managing subcontractor procurement, tendering, and contract negotiations.

*

Monitoring and controlling project costs to ensure profitability and value for money.

*

Conducting site valuations, interim payments, and final accounts.

*

Providing accurate cost reporting and financial forecasting to senior management.

*

Liaising with site managers, project managers, architects, and clients to ensure smooth project delivery.

*

Identifying and resolving any commercial risks, variations, or disputes.

*

Ensuring compliance with contractual, legal, and health & safety requirements.

Requirements

*

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry, specifically with brickwork and masonry packages.

*

Strong knowledge of construction contracts (JCT, NEC, etc.).

*

Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

*

Proficiency in MS Office and industry-standard QS software.

*

Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or equivalent (preferred).

*

Membership of RICS or working towards chartership (desirable).

*

Based in London, with flexibility to travel to project sites.
