A Tier 1 Developer is looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to join the team on a landmark new-build residential scheme in Guildford. This long-term project comprises 477 RC frame units, extensive new road infrastructure works already underway, and the construction of a new bus garage. The programme runs through to 2030, offering a secure and exciting career opportunity.

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to the highest standards.

*

Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, site teams, and suppliers.

*

Ensure compliance with design specifications, quality requirements, and health & safety legislation.

*

Carry out regular inspections, snagging, and progress reporting.

*

Work closely with the Project Manager, engineers, and commercial team to achieve project milestones.

*

Support the planning, sequencing, and logistics of works on a busy town-centre site.

*

Maintain accurate site records, inductions, permits, and health & safety documentation.

Requirements

*

Proven experience as a Site Manager on large-scale new build residential projects (RC frame experience essential).

*

Strong knowledge of construction methodology, health & safety, and quality control processes.

*

Experience coordinating multiple trades and managing subcontractor performance.

*

Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to maintain positive relationships with the project team and stakeholders.

*

SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certification required.
