About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a leading national housebuilder on a major new-build apartment development in Cambridge. This is a chance to play a key commercial role in a high-profile residential scheme with a reputable developer known for delivering high-quality homes across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the full commercial lifecycle of the project from pre-construction through to final account.

*

Prepare tenders, budgets, and cost reports in line with project specifications.

*

Source and negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers.

*

Carry out valuations, variations, and cost analysis to ensure project profitability.

*

Work closely with the site, design, and technical teams to ensure smooth project delivery.

*

Ensure compliance with current construction legislation and company procedures.

Requirements:

*

Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying.

*

3+ years of experience in residential construction – ideally with a focus on new-build flats or mixed-use developments.

*

Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail.

*

Proficient in MS Excel and estimating software.

*

Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

*

Ability to manage multiple subcontract packages and timelines effectively.

*

Full UK driving licence.
