Salary: £42,000 – £52,000 (depending on experience)

Hours – fulltime

We’re recruiting for an experienced Estimator to join a well-established construction organisation based in Northampton. This is an excellent opportunity for someone from a drainage or construction background who is confident in handling tender applications and internal processes and is looking for a role that combines both office and site-based work.

The successful candidate will be primarily office-based (around 90%), with occasional site visits (10%) and will work closely with the Senior Management Team to deliver accurate, competitive, and profitable tenders.

What you’ll be doing:

Preparing and submitting detailed and accurate tender applications.
Managing internal estimating processes and ensuring compliance at every stage.
Liaising with the Senior Management Team to review tenders, costs, and profitability.
Conducting occasional site visits to gather information, assess requirements, and provide accurate costings.
Maintaining strong knowledge of industry standards, construction practices, and drainage systems.
Building and maintaining strong working relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.The Candidate

Proven experience as an Estimator within drainage or construction.
Strong understanding of tender processes and internal estimating procedures.
Excellent attention to detail and strong numerical ability.
Confident communicator with the ability to work with senior management and external stakeholders.
Highly organised and proactive with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
