Quantity Surveyor – Tier 1 Main Contractor

Anderselite are currently working with a leading Tier 1 main contractor who are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team in Leeds. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute individual to work on major projects across a variety of sectors, including commercial, healthcare, education, residential, and public sector schemes. The successful candidate will be responsible for full commercial management of projects, ensuring profitability and contractual compliance while supporting the delivery of high-quality builds.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and oversee all commercial aspects of projects from procurement to final account.

Prepare valuations, variations, and cost reports.

Negotiate and manage subcontractor accounts and payments.

Provide accurate forecasting and cost control throughout the project lifecycle.

Ensure compliance with contract terms (JCT).

Work closely with project managers and site teams to achieve commercial objectives.

Identify risks, opportunities, and value engineering options.

Support senior management with reporting and commercial strategy.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a Tier 1 or large main contractor.

Strong knowledge of JCT contracts.
Excellent cost management, reporting, and negotiation skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure.
Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and stakeholders.
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline (preferred).
Based within commutable distance of Leeds.
