Assistant Quantity Surveyor

M4 Recruitment are looking for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor on behalf of their client based in Egham.

An excellent opportunity has arisen with the expansion of the Commercial Department based out of Egham at a newly refurbished HQ. The company is growing its team and would like to take on an Assistant Quantity Surveyor. The role reports directly to the Quantity Surveyors and Commercial Manager, with room for this role to expand as the company grows. The organisation is a Soft and Hard Landscaping contractor predominantly servicing main contractors and developers across central London and the surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities

* Assisting the Quantity Surveyors and Commercial Manager

* Producing applications for payment

* Ensuring payments are received in line with applications and dealing with any queries

* Maintaining and updating the application register

* Recording variations and including them in applications for payment

* Compiling and issuing invitations to tender, analysing subcontractor quotations, and making recommendations for placement of orders

* Assisting with CVRs and reporting commercial status of projects

* Assisting with variations and Add and Omits

* Assisting the operations team with commercial matters

* Maintaining accurate and organised project documentation, including drawings, specifications, contracts, and correspondence

Qualifications & Experience

* Quantity Surveying: 2 years

* Diploma or Higher Education preferred but not essential

* Proficient IT skills including Microsoft Office & Excel

* Full, clean UK Driving Licence a benefit but not essential

Abilities & Skills

* Highly motivated and hard-working, with a desire to grow within the company

* Strong organisational skills and time management

* Able to work well both individually and as part of a team

* Takes ownership of tasks and pride in achievement

Salary

£36,000.00–£40,000.00 per year, dependent upon previous experience
