Our client, a leading construction company experiencing significant growth, is seeking a Transport Manager to oversee and optimise their expanding fleet operations. The Role
As Transport Manager, you will take full responsibility for managing and coordinating a large fleet, ensuring vehicles are effectively maintained, compliant, and tracked. You will also liaise closely with suppliers and garages, driving continuous improvement across transport operations.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and coordinate the company’s fleet (250+ vans).

Monitor vehicle usage through the fleet tracker system.

*

Ensure vehicles are serviced on time and remain fully compliant.

*

Liaise with local garages and suppliers to arrange repairs and maintenance.

*

Carry out regular checks on vehicle condition and compliance.

*

Produce detailed reports on vehicle status, usage, and maintenance history.

*

Track vehicles and update systems accurately.

About You

*

Proven experience managing a large fleet (ideally 250+ vans).

*

Knowledge or exposure to plant machinery (e.g. diggers, excavators, low loaders, tipper wagons) is desirable but not essential.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Excellent communication and reporting skills.

*

A proactive approach to compliance and safety.
