A highly-regarded, multidisciplinary architectural, construction & design practice is looking for an experienced construction professional for a new Building Regulations Principal Designer role, joining its growing team based in its lovely offices in Farringdon, London.

The Building Regulations Principal Designer role

The successful Building Regulations Principal Designer (BRPD) role complements and supports the existing service offer for the design and delivery of large scale residential and mixed-use developments, plus later living, care, workspace and film studio work. Projects include new build, retrofit and adaptive reuse of HRB’s and non-HRB’s (higher risk buildings).

The BRPD role centres on planning, managing, coordinating and monitoring Building Regulations compliance.

The Building Regulations Principal Designer

The successful Building Regulations Principal Designer will have demonstrable experience in leading and/or managing design development, including Building Regulations compliance.

You will also have a meticulous approach to managing and maintaining accurate digital records as well as excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

This position might suit a wide range of professional backgrounds such as technical architects or architectural technologists; candidates with a design management or plans checking background and/or candidates with experience delivering Principal Designer services under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.

You may even have a background in Surveying, Building Control, or Project Management.
