Health & Safety Manager – Construction
Location: Bolton
Salary: Up to £60,000

Package: £5,000 car allowance, mileage, bonus scheme, pension, holidays, flexible working

The Opportunity

A growing construction company has seen turnover rise from £7m to £23m in recent years and is now looking to bring its Health & Safety function in-house. Having relied on an external consultancy for over 12 years to manage ISO certifications, SafeContractor accreditation, site audits and H&S advice, the business now requires a dedicated professional to take full ownership of this function internally.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business at an exciting stage of growth and make a real impact by shaping its H&S systems and processes for the future.

Key Responsibilities

Take full ownership of Health & Safety across the business, replacing external consultancy support.
Maintain and develop ISO certifications and SafeContractor accreditation.
Carry out site audits across all projects, ensuring compliance with legal and company standards.
Review and update company RAMS, Construction Phase Plans (CPPs), and other pre-construction and design documentation.
Vet and approve subcontractor RAMS and CPPs.
Provide proactive H&S advice to management, project teams, and site staff.
Develop scalable systems to support continued business growth.
