The preconstruction division is keen to add a talented and experienced Senior Mechanical Building Services Design Engineer to the team. In this role, the appointed Mechanical Engineer will take ownership of full HVAC services design, with a key focus on the optimisation of heating, ventilation, and public health systems. As a lead Engineer, you will collaborate closely with design, operations and commercial teams to deliver high-quality designs across a variety of projects. You will be responsible for providing innovative, efficient, and sustainable solutions that meet client requirements and comply with relevant regulatory standards.

Main responsibilities:

* Strongly-focussed design involvement including schedules, site visits and surveys

* Carry out HVAC calculations

* Take ownership of the complete design

* Must be commercially focused and identify risks within projects

* Produce working drawings and schematics

* Attend client meetings

* Co-ordination with external design teams

* Mentor and tutor junior/intermediate engineers

* Report to and liaise with the Design Manager

* Ensure all deadlines are met to the highest standard

Person spec:

* Extensive post qualification design experience within the Building Services industry

* Ideally have design experience in a wide range of sectors including renewables technologies

* Qualified to minimum HNC level in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering

* Experience using AutoCAD, Amtech, Hevacomp and REVIT

* Align with the values of the business

* Understanding of BIM protocols that are actively used throughout the business

* Confidence to lead and take a ‘hands on’ approach

* Excellent time management and communication skills

* Flexible attitude to balance work loads and deadlines

* Hold a valid UK driving licence
