We are hiring for an Electrical Estimator
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team in Wolverhampton. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a business that delivers large-scale Mechanical and Electrical services projects across multiple sectors including industrial, logistics, food, pharmaceutical, data centres, healthcare, commercial, hotel & leisure, residential, public and energy.
You will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely estimates from pre-tender to post-tender stage, working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to optimise commercial outcomes.
Duties of an Electrical Estimator
In this role you will be responsible for:
Preparing accurate and structured tenders in line with company procedures
Producing accurate take-offs and measures of tenders and inputting into estimating software
Assessing supplier and subcontractor quotations, ensuring compliance and competitiveness
Preparing product substitution and value engineering options
Maintaining consistent communication with internal teams and external stakeholders during the estimating process
Supporting the estimating team in achieving revenue plans by contributing accurate and timely estimates
Gaining knowledge of installation times and reviewing projects to compare actual vs budgeted performance
Monitoring market activity to ensure relevant and competitive estimates are consistently produced
Skills and Experience of an Electrical Estimator
As an Electrical Estimator, you must have experience with:
Previous experience as an Electrical Estimator or of preparing electrical estimations
Strong commercial and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail
Understanding of health and safety requirements
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
It would be beneficial to the Electrical Estimator role if you also had:
Degree level qualification in Engineering or a related discipline
Knowledge of electrical installations
