Quality Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join our clients team on a major civil engineering project with the Environment Agency. This is a long-term contract opportunity, offering the chance to play a key role in ensuring quality standards are delivered across all stages of the works.

Key Responsibilities

Support the implementation and monitoring of the project’s Quality Management System.
Ensure all construction activities comply with project specifications, industry standards, and EA requirements.
Carry out inspections, audits, and surveillance of works on site.
Lead on quality documentation, including ITPs, check sheets, NCRs, and corrective actions.
Liaise with the design, engineering, and construction teams to ensure quality is embedded from start to finish.
Provide training and support to project teams on quality procedures.
Maintain strong communication with the client and stakeholders regarding quality matters. Requirements

Proven experience as a Quality Engineer on major civil engineering projects (EA or infrastructure experience desirable).
Strong knowledge of QA/QC processes, ISO standards, and civil engineering best practices.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills.
Relevant qualifications (e.g. Civil Engineering degree, HND, or equivalent experience)
