Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking an experienced Contract Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial management of a highways project in North Somerset. This is a contract role with a Tier 2 contractor, offering an excellent opportunity for a skilled QS to take ownership of cost control, subcontractor management, and client reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee commercial and financial management of the highways scheme.
Prepare valuations, variations, and final accounts.
Monitor project budgets, forecasts, and cash flow.
Draft and manage subcontractor packages, payments, and claims.
Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and the project team to ensure commercial targets are achieved.
Provide accurate commercial reporting to senior management.
Ensure compliance with NEC contract requirements and company procedures. Requirements

Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor on highways or major civils projects.
Ability to be based on site daily. 
Strong knowledge of NEC forms of contract.
Demonstrable track record managing costs, variations, and subcontractors.
Degree or HND in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or equivalent experience.
Ability to work independently while supporting the wider project team
