JOB TITLE: Site Engineer
LOCATION: Westhill, Aberdeenshire (Head Office) with travel to UK sites
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent

Role Overview:

TEXO Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of our external client who are seeking a Site Engineer to join their growing team.

This is a full-time, permanent role based at the company’s head office in Westhill, Aberdeenshire, with project work covering sites across the UK. The successful candidate will support the delivery of a wide range of civil engineering and multi-utility projects, combining technical setting-out skills with site supervision and client liaison.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide setting out and site engineering support across civil engineering and multi-utility projects.

* Carry out regular site visits and maintain accurate progress reporting to Line Managers.

* Assist in tender preparation and liaise with clients and statutory bodies.

* Support the preparation and issue of Job Instructions, ensuring Toolbox Talks are completed.

* Prepare “as-built” drawings for customers on awarded contracts.

* Promote compliance with QHSE standards, supporting the Systems Manager in risk assessment and RAMS production.

* Assist the Contracts Manager with requisition of materials as required.

* Work closely with the Quantity Surveyor to ensure projects are fully measured and valued accurately and promptly.

* Take responsibility for team-related employee issues and escalate to Line Manager as needed.

* Contribute to the ongoing operation and improvement of the company’s IMS system.

Required Skills & Experience:

* Minimum 5 years’ experience in civil engineering, including setting out and site supervision.

* Strong knowledge of contracting principles and civil engineering practices.

* Multi-utility experience beneficial.

* Excellent communication, organisation, and time management skills.

* Proficient in Microsoft Office packages.

* Commercial awareness and ability to think strategically.

* Flexible and adaptable approach, with willingness to work in challenging conditions.

* Strong commitment to promoting Health & Safety culture.

* Valid UK driving licence (Essential).

* SSSTS / SMSTS card (Essential).

* CPCS card (Essential).
