CLERK OF WORKS – BUILDING / CONSTRUCTION

POSITION : Clerk of Works 

LOCATION : East Yorkshire

RATE :  £29 ph Ltd Co ( outside IR 35) PAYE rate also available + business miles for site visits 45p per mile. Monday to Friday 40 hours pw.

THE ROLE :  

This a great opportunity to work as a Clerk of Works / Building Construction Inspector on sites across the East Yorkshire region on a long term contract basis. This will mainly be working on new build housing projects, although the opportunity to work on other general building projects may arise. Applications are welcome from experienced Site Managers who would like to find out more about working as a Clerk of Works and how their construction/building skills would be utilised.

DUTIES :

Undertake regular inspections of construction work to monitor progress and quality 
Verify compliance with contractual drawings and specifications & warranty standards
Provide advice on quality management.
Liaise with building contractors
Prepare reports for Employer Agents and Project Managers
Prepare snagging reports with photos
Experience of writing well presented reports to a high standard
Good organisation skills to be able to organise and prioritise your workload
Great communication skills, both written and oral
Ability to work under pressure
Good up to date technical knowledge and the ability to read construction drawings Full driving licence is  ESSENTIAL along with the use of your own vehicle.
