Client: Our client is a traditional privately owned M&E contractor based in Kent. The business turns over £35M+ undertaking projects in the retail banking, government, commercial office and healthcare sectors. Their average project size is between £500K and £8M, with the majority of their projects being located in central London. Having been established over 50 years they benefit from being a preferred contractor for major blue chip clients, client include: ISG, Willmott Dixon, Barclays and HSBC. This means they have a continuous and stable workflow. Having appointed a new Managing Director and with a forecasted £40M turnover for the year the business is looking to appoint an Electrical Design Manager.

Role: Electrical Project Manager – £65,000 – £75,000 + Travel + Healthcare + Pension + Bonus

The successful candidate will be responsible for the Project Management of various building services projects throughout London from the values of £500K – £5m MEP value. Typically the company operates in the following sectors: Commercial Offices, Retail Banking and Government projects.

The successful candidate will be based on a Healthcare project in Essex, with future projects likely to be in London.

Role/Responsibilities:

* Procurement of subcontractors, kit and plant

* Technical submittals

* RFIs – Liaison with client team, main contractor and sub contractors

* Value Engineering where applicable

* Programming of works – using MS Project or Asta project

* Health & Safety management (RAMs)

* Commercial Responsibility, assisting with sub contractor variation accounts working alongside project specific Quantity Survey.

* Management of variations

* Team Coordination (overseeing junior engineers, construction managers and supervisors)

* Progress meetings with sub contractors, client and internal meetings

* Overseeing commissioning stages

* Formulation of OM Manuals and client handover

The ideal candidate:

* Will be familiar working in a fast pace environment

* Experience managing projects to a minimum of £500K within your own discipline

* A minimum 5 years’ experience in a management role

* The candidate will show longevity in previous employment
