Quantity Surveyor

Are you a driven Quantity Surveyor looking to take the next step in your career? Our client, a well-established volume residential contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality housing developments, is seeking an ambitious individual to join their commercial team at their Guildford office.

The Role

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in managing the financial aspects of multiple residential schemes, from procurement through to final accounts. You’ll be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on budget, while maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors, clients, and internal teams.

Responsibilities

Overseeing cost planning, valuations, and forecasting across residential projects

*

Managing subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and payments

*

Preparing and monitoring budgets, cash flow, and financial reports

*

Ensuring commercial compliance with contracts and company procedures

*

Supporting the wider commercial team with project delivery and risk management

About You

*

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within residential or housing projects (volume build preferred)

*

Strong knowledge of construction contracts and procurement methods

*

Excellent communication and negotiation skills

*

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

*

A degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field (RICS accreditation desirable)
